Review: Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer

Welcome to my first blogpost! Today I'm going to be reviewing the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer's, which I know are not new to the beauty world but I really wanted to start my a blog with a lippie.

The lip lacquers  are available in a wide selection of colours from dark plums to nudes to bright pinks, there is something to suit everyone. I only bought two colours from the range and they are 301 GALAXY and 600 NUDE ECLIPSE.

They come in 5.5ml tubes and you treat them like a lip gloss with a doe foot applicator which I really love as it is so easy to apply. The lip lacquer's are a mixture of a lipgloss and lipstick. The colour pigmentation is unreal and it also lasts a super long time for this kind of product. I was very apprehensive at first about the claim of being so pigmented, but I honestly  couldn't get over the colour it gave. I definitely think the 'Nude Eclipse' lasted longer on my lips and I wasn't as self-conscious going out with it on as it is a very subtle pinky nude shade,
whereas I found myself constantly checking my front camera to make sure 'Galaxy' hadn't
smeared across my face as it is a much deeper purple-y shade.

I did find that for the lip lacquers , I did need a lip liner mainly because the colours I chose were strong and they did bleed onto my skin. The consistency is wonderfully rich and creamy, not really like any other lip glosses I own. They are slightly sticky but you have to expect it as it is a lip gloss formula.

The packaging is very cute and could almost be high end, I have found that the bottles need to be closed really tight or there will be problems with leaking. One thing I have found with the lip lacquers is that they have a rather unusual scent that I know is not to everyone's taste. Personally I don't really mind the smell as I have got used to it but at first I did think there  was something wrong with as it's a sort of chemical smell. A friend of mine can't  stand the smell of them and can tell when I'm wearing them straight away!
If you love wearing lip glosses and lots of bright colour then Rimmel's Apocalips lip lacquers are definitely products you should check out, I will definitely be buying a brighter pink shade to add to my collection! This product is available from Boots here.

Hope you enjoyed reading and found this review interesting and helpful.
